BIOGRAPHY

In the realm of music, some are drawn to the craft, while others are undeniably chosen. Schyler O'Neal, a platinum-selling producer, artist, and songwriter, falls into the latter category, possessing an innate ability to transform life's experiences into captivating melodies, musical arrangements, and resonant lyrics.

While O'Neal is largely self-taught, his talent is not solely a gift from nature. He has invested countless hours in studying the art, honing his skills to perfection. Yet, his journey isn't defined by personal success alone; O'Neal has made it a mission to nurture talent which began in his hometown, Long Beach, CA. Through his work as a writer, producer, and promoter, he played a pivotal role in the development of local talent, most notably mentoring GRAMMY-Nominated R&B Singer Giveon. In Giveon's Apple Music: Up Next Documentary, O'Neal is acknowledged as a "mentor." In 2021, O'Neal's production prowess contributed to Giveon's RIAA Certified Platinum album "When It's All Said And Done...Take Time," earning him his first RIAA Certified Platinum single for the song "Still Your Best." More recently, O'Neal showcased his production skills on Quavo of Migos' album "Rocket Power," notably contributing to the title track.

Beyond his work behind the scenes, Schyler O'Neal is now stepping into the spotlight as both a producer and artist. In 2021, he introduced his debut single "IOU," which soared to number 1 on the Upcoming 100 charts. The track garnered attention from MTV Up Next, SXSW Pop, and The Hype Magazine, setting the stage for O'Neal's next chapter. Now, he is gearing up for the release of his debut album, "Life Happened," scheduled to hit all major streaming platforms on December 8, 2023. To mark this milestone, O'Neal will grace the GRAMMY Museum stage on December 10, 2023, in a special event titled "Backstage Pass: Schyler O'Neal Life Happened. Album Release."

While O'Neal continues to carve his own musical path, his impact extends beyond the studio. Serving as the Manager of Education & Community Engagement at the Recording Academy GRAMMY Museum, he has influenced thousands of students through music education workshops, programs, and interviews. O'Neal has conducted insightful conversations with a diverse array of artists and industry professionals, including Jon Baptiste, Ziggy Marley, Killer Mike, Sean Paul, NLE Choppa, Lizzy McAlpine, MC Lyte, Ryan Coogler, Ludwig Goransson, and many more.

Schyler O'Neal's journey is not just a musical one; it's a narrative of mentorship, creativity, and the profound impact of an artist committed to both his craft and community. As he takes center stage with "Life Happened," O'Neal invites the world to join him on this compelling musical odyssey.
